Sizing guidance, plan limits and scaling notes.
01Capacity
- License tiers: 200 (free) up to 10,000 subscribers; VIP plans up to 1,000,000.
- Real capacity depends on your hardware, concurrent session rate and accounting interval.
- These are license limits, not measured benchmarks — plan capacity against your own load.
02What drives load
- Authentication rate — logins per second at peak (morning reconnects, mass outages).
- Accounting frequency — shorter interim-update intervals mean more writes.
- Concurrent sessions and NAS count.
- Reporting queries over large accounting histories.
03Suggested benchmark plan
No public benchmark data exists yet — this is a reproducible plan you can run before a large rollout:
- Deploy on your target hardware; register one test NAS.
- Simulate ramping auth load (e.g. scripted PPPoE logins) while measuring CPU, memory and disk I/O.
- Measure accounting write rate at your interim interval and concurrent-session ceiling.
- Repeat at 2× your expected peak; record results in the capacity review.
04Reliability
- License migration to a replacement server reduces downtime after hardware failure.
- Backup and restore tooling included.
- Updates arrive through the built-in update channel.
- For large deployments we recommend a capacity review with our team before rollout.
