01Overview

Daddy SAS ships as a bootable ISO image that turns a dedicated server or VPS into a complete ISP billing and RADIUS AAA appliance. The vendor can also perform the installation on your Cloud VPS.

  • Self-hosted ISO — full control of the box, data stays on your hardware.
  • Managed Cloud VPS install — the Daddy Coder team installs it for you and hands over a dedicated IP and port.
  • Either way you get the same web admin panel and feature set.

02Requirements

  • A dedicated server or VPS able to boot the provided ISO image.
  • Network reachability between the server and your NAS devices — RADIUS uses UDP 1812 (authentication) and UDP 1813 (accounting), plus UDP 3799 on the NAS side for CoA/Disconnect-Message.
  • A Daddy SAS license — the free tier (200 subscribers) is downloadable from the homepage.
  • A stable IP address reachable by the routers is recommended; deployments behind NAT/CGNAT are workable — contact support for the recommended topology.

03ISO installation

  • Download the ISO image from the homepage (/download-iso).
  • Boot the target server/VPS from the ISO and follow the guided setup — roughly 10 minutes.
  • After the install, sign in to the web admin panel and activate your license.
  • Add your first NAS/router entry, then create packages and subscribers.

04Managed Cloud VPS

  • Our team installs Daddy SAS on your Cloud VPS.
  • You receive a dedicated IP address and port for secure access to your system.
  • Choose this when you do not want to manage the underlying server yourself.

05Licensing & updates

  • Licenses are bound to hardware; migration to a replacement server preserves all data and configuration.
  • Updates arrive through the built-in update channel — the system checks for and applies new releases.
  • Plan upgrades/downgrades are possible at any time without losing subscribers or settings.
  • Backup and restore tooling is included — use it before major upgrades.

The license system is verified on this site: the license server and update channel (update.daddy-coder.com) are operated by Daddy Coder.
